Finding strength in each other
Mob around the country are grieving, we’re regrouping, and finding strength in each other as we always have.
The Healing Foundation stands alongside Stolen Generations survivors and their families in the pursuit of justice, truth and healing. We offer our support and strength as our communities process the outcome.
We will continue to amplify the voices of survivors. We will continue to work for redress for all survivors. We will continue to work with organisations and survivors to honour the missing children and unmarked graves at institutions. We will continue to work with survivors to access their records.
We will not rest until the work of the Bringing Them Home Report is done, until the calls in the Make Healing Happen Report are heard.
Standing together for healing
It’s time for us to stand together. Healing and solidarity is needed now more than ever for our people.
Thank you to those standing with us, we need you to continue to call out racism, educate those who spread misinformation, and share the truth.
Survivors will not be silenced
Fully understanding the true history of Australia is an integral part of healing. We cannot heal when the truth of why we live with trauma is not known.
Australia has a responsibility to Stolen Generations survivors to learn about their journey so that they all can begin healing. So that they don’t have to watch their children and grandchildren be burdened with their trauma.
So that they can begin a new cycle of intergenerational healing.
The voices of survivors will not be silenced, we stand with them now and always.
