Allambi Girls’ Hostel

LOCATION: 81 Osmond Terrace, Norwood

DESCRIPTION: Also known as Norwood Girls’ Hostel, this home accommodated girls who had become state wards. They were aged 14 to 20 and many worked in the city. It housed approximately 14 girls until 1956, when it began to accommodate girls from the overcrowded Vaughan House.
