This project intends to create collaborative, responsive services to meet the needs of not only the children that attend our school but their families and wider community. This project recognises that holistic approaches to the wellbeing of Indigenous children is fundamental to how they engage in schooling and education, understand the world around them and especially encourages the development of sustainable life skills. Our project focuses on providing holistic, high quality wellness services that build the capacity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through a focus on individual, family and community wellbeing.
The overarching focus attends to the following interconnected areas of the wellbeing of individual children:
- Social and psychological well being
- Health
- Learning and education
- Family and community environments
- Positive social and cultural engagements.
