Message from Board Chair, Professor Steve Larkin on new CEO at The Healing Foundation
I would like to inform you of the outcome of the CEO recruitment process which was recently completed.
Following interviews with a shortlist of candidates, the selection panel unanimously agreed that the preferred candidate was Shannan Dodson (currently Acting CEO and substantive Deputy CEO). I am pleased to advise Shannan has been appointed to the role of CEO effective immediately.
This followed a comprehensive search undertaken by the HorizonOne recruitment company with applications received from an impressive field of highly qualified candidates. I would like to thank all applicants for their interest in the role.
This is a wonderful outcome for The Healing Foundation, and I am looking forward to working with Shannan into the future.
Please join me in congratulating Shannan!
Shannan Dodson is a Yawuru woman, her family is from Broome in Western Australia. She came to the Healing Foundation as the Deputy CEO and she was recently the Deputy CEO of the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy (NASCA) and Co-Chair of the National NAIDOC Committee.
She has extensive experience working in Indigenous affairs and is passionate about advocating for the understanding of intergenerational trauma and healing and the impact it has on communities.
