Kalgoorlie Hostel

LOCATION: Graeme Street, Kalgoorlie

DESCRIPTION: This government run employment hostel accommodated teenage girls of working age, including some Aboriginal girls. It also housed young people on their way through Kalgoorlie, young Aboriginal women from outback communities and goldfield camps, young women requiring family crisis support, and those referred through the youth justice system. It was also known as Kalgoorlie Education and Employment Hostel, the Working Girls’ Hostel and Graeme Street Hostel.
