Croker Island Mission 

LOCATION: Croker Island

DESCRIPTION: Accommodated children from Darwin and Alice Springs in temporary cottages until they were evacuated to institutions in NSW in 1942. They returned in 1946. Mentioned in the Bringing them Home report (1997) as an institution that housed Indigenous children removed from their families.
