Survivor Grants

To support collective healing and strengthen community connections for Stolen Generations survivors, descendants and communities, The Healing Foundation provides a range of funding and support.

2025-26 Stolen Generations Grants

Grants available from $5,000 - $50,000 for ACCOs supporting Stolen Generations survivors

The Healing Foundation works with Stolen Generations survivors, descendants and organisations, service providers and stakeholders to address the priority healing needs of the Stolen Generations. 

The 2025/26 Stolen Generations Grants are designed to meet the unique healing needs and aspirations of Stolen Generations survivors, with a focus on healing and commemorative activities.

The 2025-26 grant round is now open!

Eligible organisations are invited to apply for the 2025-26 Stolen Generations Grants.   

Grants are available from $5,000 - $50,000 (GST exc) and are intended for activities like:

  • Healing activities (healing camps and gatherings, trauma-informed programs)
  • Activities to support redress
  • Community memorials
  • Documenting survivors’ individual or group stories
  • Commemorative activities (events including the anniversary of the National Apology to Aboriginal Australians, and National Sorry Day)  

Who is eligible for a grant?

We encourage you to apply if your organisation is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) and meets the following criteria: 

  • Incorporated 
  • Operates on a not-for-profit basis
  • Controlled and governed by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples 
  • Your project serves communities with a direct focus on the healing of Stolen Generations survivors and their descendants. 
  • Sole traders, non-Indigenous organisations, and local Councils (except for Aboriginal-led councils like Indigenous Shire Councils) are not eligible to apply.
