Riverdale Native Hostel

LOCATION: Near Nullagine

DESCRIPTION: This facility was purchased by the Department of Native Welfare to establish a small school in Nullagine. It opened with 12 Aboriginal residents and by 1959 30 children were attending the school. The facility served as an example for other government hostels being developed throughout WA. It was also known as Nullagine Hostel and Nullagine Native Hostel.
